01 Who is responsible for your data

02 What data we collect
Contact form. When you write to us we receive your name, email, company (optional), request type, your website URL (optional) and message. We also record the date and the IP address it was sent from, to protect against abuse and spam.
Email. If you email us directly, we process the data you send us.
Browsing. If you accept statistics cookies, Google Analytics collects site usage data (pages viewed, where the visit came from, device and browser type, approximate location) in aggregate. We don't use advertising tools or build user profiles. Like any web server, the server hosting this site logs technical request data (IP address, date, requested page and browser) for security and operation.
03 Why we use the data
We use form and email data only to answer your request, provide support for our plugins and, where applicable, prepare and follow up on a proposal or project.
We use Google Analytics statistics only to understand how the site is visited and improve it, based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
The legal basis is your request and the pre-contractual steps it involves (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in protecting the site against abuse (Art. 6(1)(f)).
We don't sell or share your data, nor use it for marketing without your consent.
04 How long we keep it
We keep messages for as long as needed to answer and follow up on your request. If no business relationship results, we delete them within 2 years of the last contact. Data linked to contracts and invoicing is kept for the periods required by law.
06 Third-party services
Hosting and email: the site and email are hosted by webserver.pt (Combell group), with servers in the European Union, which processes data on our behalf.
Google Fonts: the site's fonts load from Google's servers, which receive your IP address. See Google's privacy policy.
Google Analytics: if you accept statistics cookies, usage data is processed by Google Ireland Limited on our behalf and may be transferred to the US under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. See Google's privacy policy.
Unsplash: some photos load from Unsplash, which receives your IP address. See Unsplash's privacy policy.
External links: links to LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, WordPress.org, Codeable and other sites only send data to those services if you open them; their privacy policies then apply.
07 Our WordPress plugins
This policy covers the website. In our Menu Image and WP Mobile Menu plugins, sharing usage data with Freemius is optional and only happens if you opt in during installation. Premium licenses and payments are processed by Freemius. See Freemius's privacy policy and our article about the Freemius opt-in.
In Pay With Stripe, your customers' payments are processed directly by Stripe; Freshlight Lab does not receive that data.
08 Your rights
You can at any time request access to your data, its correction or deletion, restriction of or objection to processing, and portability. Just write to info@freshlightlab.com; we reply within one month at most.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD).
09 Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data — for example by adding a new service — we will update this page and the date at the top.
